The Online Heiltsuk Orthography Converter was designed by Aidan Pine and Mark Turin to support community members and partners who use either the Heiltsuk Doulos or the Heiltsuk Times fonts (both of which are non-Unicode) and wish to work in a cross-platform digital environment.
The Online Heiltsuk Orthography Converter accepts text from Heiltsuk Doulos & Heiltsuk Times which it converts into Unicode, and vice versa. Unicode characters can be rendered through most platforms, whether online (such as Twitter and Facebook) or offline (such as Word and PowerPoint). Unicode facilitates wider use and greater awareness of the Heiltsuk language. Please click on the image below to access the free online converter tool.
